- Cooling towers allow a small amount of water to be cooled enough to evaporate into a moving air stream, which increases cooling to the rest of the water stream. Preferable to other heat rejection devices, cooling towers are more cost-effective and energy efficient because they create lower water temperatures.
- Airflow radiators help keep equipment at the correct temperature at all times regardless of surrounding conditions. The airflow speed through the radiator is what creates the biggest amount of heat loss.
- Chillers remove heat from a liquid with either vapor compression or absorption refrigeration. At that point the liquid can be circulated through a heat exchanger to cool air or equipment.
